Creating connection with rhythm

As well as playing some of my usual games I've introduced some facilitation elements into the drumming aspect of the workshops. Throughout the week I've been working on my body language and signals, although being in the circle has felt…

How are you doing? Still inspired..shame you had to go..level 2 actually seemed easier in a funny sort of way..less people, less structure and less pressure to " get it right"..recommend it for next year.
I m going to do Hans workshop this sunday..guess you re not coming for that ? Anyway keep in touch xxblessings A

I am also into West African Drumming, glad to see others on this group like yourself, who are doing it!
Hope you will be my friend, I am new to this forum!
best regards,

yes Doris was amazing. I enjoyed Claudio's Samaba percussion, Nansady's Djembe class, Simon's Drum circles, tried Yoga one morning ( but it hurt!) and generally had a ball! ...its a shame life can't be like that all the time..Looking forward to next year ! sharon x
Ah, Leamington Spa, went past there the other day on the way back from Liverpool gig. Wasn't there a little drum shop there I seem to remember? There's a drum event which used to be near Leamington coming up in Birmingham on 29/30 September but for the vintage kits etc rather than circle stuff. I usually go and meet the other 'ancient rockers' there and come back having bought some relic!

Hi! Drumming 23 years, as a job 4 years. I've dabbled in lots of things drumming wise. I'm just about to go on Barry Wakefield's Therapeutic Drumming Diploma. As a former social worker I'm interested in the therapeutic angle to the session, as well as the musicality. Nice to hear from you.
