Creating connection with rhythm

is all i can say about a drum session i had this morning with a Autistic child high on the spectrum,to cut a long story short hes has been in rest bite all week,so i dare say missin his mom and dad lots.well anyway i set lots of instrument stations all around the class, and waited for him to initiate, well it was good and we were having lots of child led interactions, well then it came to the resonance board,he sat on it and then i placed 2 djembes on it and started a slow heartbeat rythum, well it really escalated and we got faster then slower quiter and louder, just a nice flowing steady beat,he lifted my drum up and was feeling the vibrations from underneath.....this went on for some time and then he started crying,no noise, not upset just tears running down his cheeks...it was a wonderfull experience to see that the power of music moved him that much,im fairly inexperienced at all this but that made me feel top of the world

Sounds great - I work in a special school and have some autistic kids. I have not come across the phrase 'resonance board' before here in the UK, can you say what it is please?
