DrumsForCures promotes cancer awareness and education, supports survivorship and raises funds for research.
Our event, drumSTRONG is a unique charity, multicultural, musical, educational experience.
We showcase the local cancer health resources so that you can get an idea of what’s available in the region to address cancer concerns :: medical and integrative health organizations, many other important private practices and cancer societies.
It's a gathering to rhythm. A GatheRhythm. Music universally engages all ages, wages and stages of health.
¡¡ It’s the planet's longest continuous rhythm DRUM-A-THON !!
People make donations and/or solicit per hour drumming sponsorships.
Amazing local and celebrity artists play with us drumming non-stop for 24 + hours, BEATing cancer!
Full stage with lights & sound and a magnificent drum circle (unlike any other!). We are registered with The Guinness World Records organization. World class facilitators and players attend. Drum lessons, Camping, Dancing, Massage, Children’s activities, Vendors (food & drums) and More.
Fun, Uplifting Survivorship Support.
DrumsForCures also provides Community services which include appropriate programming for cancer health education in schools so that children learn about cancer without being afraid, laying the foundations for prevention and early detection. DrumsForCures organizes community drum circles and brings percussionists into Pediatric Clinics.
Funds raised support local cancer initiatives.

..specifically, when 12 year old Matthew R. found me after Arthur had finally jump-stopped 25 hours of nonstop rhythm.
He had just that week prior been untethered from his chemo port. He played with us most of the day Sunday. We locked eyes (for several minutes). I'm looking into the soul of a very wise, knowing, compassionate and appreciative young man. He broke our gaze with a smile and a wink. I simply lost it .. His smile (and my tears) were confirmation.

I did a drum circle with our cancer society (Breast Cancer) and I donated my pay to them as a surprise.
I also was able to see the Terry Fox Monument in the summer. if it wasn't for Terry Fox I would not be hear now following my Bliss in LIFE!
